The Soviet Woman. Ninotchka

Ninotchka, produced during the pre-Cold War period, was the first film in the USA that openly criticised the Stalinist Soviet Union and that contrasted the communist and capitalist regimes. The role of Ninotchka is played by Greta Garbo. The film was banned in the Soviet Union.
